The Tulsa Rampage is pleased to announce that Tim Bowman will advance to the NCAA next season. The Moorpark California native will travel all the way across country to play at Worcester State beginning in the fall.
Throughout the season Bowman served as a utility player, benefitting the Rampage on the ice in every capacity except for goaltending. Although he was one of the team's strong defensemen, he also played forward in numerous games, demonstrating success in that capacity as well. In addition, he played for the Rampage's special teams resullting in an impressive 38 points in the 46 games he played.
"Timmy was an asset to our program all year long and in virtually every capacity," General Manager Julie Wilson says "he didn't hesitate to play where ever he was asked to and somehow managed to be impressive in every situation." As the General Manager, Wilson focuses on far more than what occurs on the ice where Bowman still won her praise. "It is crucial to a team that the success we have on the ice is equal to the success we have off the ice," she says "so a player's off ice behavior, his community involvement, and his overall character are very important. Timmy is a character kid who was an asset to us both on and off the ice." Coach Thomas Billick agrees. "I am very excited for Timmy, he was a very skilled player for us and equally a good charactered young man," Billick notes "He continued to bring his game to a new level in Tulsa and I am fully confident that he will do exactly that at the college level."
