Mosey Advances to NCAA DI

The Tulsa Rampage are pleased to announce that former player Evan Mosey has committed to Minnesota State University, Mankato beginning with the fall semester.  The standout player will be the first Rampage Alumni to advance to the NCAA Division I level.

Mosey joined the Rampage mid-season and quickly gained recognition as the team's top utility player.  His speed and scoring ability made him a dominant force as a forward, while his physical play highlighted his work on defense. In addition, Mosey quickly became a leader on the Rampage power play and penalty kill units.  "Mose was an outstanding player with a natural ability that was enhanced by an incredible work ethic," General Manager Julie Wilson says "it was clear that he could advance to Tier II very quickly."

Mosey did just that as the Wenatchee Wild of the NAHL picked him up in their first season. He started with the team as a forward notching the team's first ever goal but later switched to defense.  With 10 points in only 13 post season games, he led all defenseman in scoring in the play offs. He will play as a defenseman for Minnesota State as well.

"Mosey is not just a great hockey player but is also a great kid," Wilson says "it's so rewarding to see someone of that caliber reach his dreams.  He certainly deserves it."  Former Rampage coach Chad MacLeod couldn't agree more.  "Mose worked hard and had a great attitude every second he was on the ice," MacLeod says "and he kept that same character off the ice so it's great to see him succeed."
