The Rampage staff hold the belief that team bonding is a crucial requirement for a team's success. As a result, having the players enjoy time together outside of the training is vitally important. Attending fun
events such as the Oilers Alumni Game, eating discounted meals at Zios, or simply wandering the mall actually contribute to success on the ice.
In addition to the outside events, the player's participate in team building exercises in their weekly training camp regimen. The events are fun for the players but designed to develop problem solving skills, encourage leadership, and bond the team. The events include team or individual competitions which also foster a competitive spirit. "It's a great way for the players to be learning important success skills without feeling like they're working," Julie Wilson says "and it's a lot of fun - they deserve some fun time with how hard they work."
