Capuozzo Earns a Shut Out as the Rampage go Undefeated in the WSHL Showcase
Sugarland Texas native Hayden Capuozzo nabbed his first shut out with the Rampage in the final game of the Western States Hockey League Showcase.  The goaltender, who has posted outstanding stats since recently joining the Rampage, had a standout performance against the Valencia Flyers in the 4-0 victory.  "Signing Hayden has been a big factor in our recent successes," Coach Chad MacLeod says "he gives us a chance to win every game and was spectacular in all of his games during the showcase.  I believe he will be a key component as we head into the second half of the season and into the playoffs."

Of course a team can't win without scoring and Illinois native Joseph Panariello was determined to be a part of that side of the game.  "Pano scored two goals tonight and had some other key scoring opportunities as well" MacLeod said "his work ethic alone creates opportunities and when you combine that with his skill, it's going to go in the net." Reese Miller, from Carmel Indiana also scored.  "It was nice to see Reese get back to his game," MacLeod said "he's been struggling since returning from a concussion but he definitely turned it up today."  And no game on the weekend would be complete without a point from Tulsa native, Assistant Captain Shane Khalaf who finalized the 4-0 lead with a goal late in the third.  "Shane is a player who gives 100% in every game," MacLeod says "he not only gained points this weekend, he also gained attention from the scouts and that's what this is all about."
