The Rampage posted a third win in the WSHL with a 5-2 victory over the Arizona Redhawks on Saturday.
Just 15 seconds into the game, Georgia native James Ryerse fired a shot directly passed the Redhawks goaltender. As Tulsa worked their power play just a few moments later, Joseph Panariello strengthened the lead with a goal assisted by Nick DiRado and Mario Dalesandro. With much of the game played on the opposing end, Rampage goalie Eric Messer was met with surprise as the play rapidly changed ends and a goal fired past him to the twine. That shot woke the both the goalie and the team up and from then on, the Rampage dominated the play. Bobby Watson fed a puck to Shane Khalaf for an even strength goal and repeated the motion to James Ryerse for another to close out the first half.
Ryerse nabbed his third point in the game by assistig Joseph Panariello just minutes into the second half. Goaltender Eric Messer faced a good number of shots and made some key saves throughout the period but was unable to stop a nice power play attempt by the Redhawks toward the end of the game. Once again, the Rampage was re-energized and Messer closed the door to finalize the 5-2 win.
