Rampage Lose Second Game to New Mexico Renegades

The Rampage suffered a disappointing loss to the New Mexico Renegades on Saturday after a stellar performance by opposing goaltender Colton Ishmael.  While Tulsa outshot the Renegades 53 shots to 33, the score reflected something much different – a 6 to 2 loss for the Rampage.

Throughout the game, Tulsa pummeled the Renegades goaltender as the opponents struggled to get the puck out of their zone.  The first goal did go to the Renegades but defenseman Matt Boente quickly evened up the score.  New Rampage goaltender Drew Case struggled in net as Evan Johnston lead the charge with a hat trick of unanswered goals.  A beautiful pass from Bobby Watson lead to a classic one timer goal by Mitch Suchomel that revived the hopes of the desperate Tulsa fans but it was to no avail.  Ishmael continued to hold down the fort for his team by stopping over 96% of the shots he faced.
